What a photo captures is not always the same when it translates into a painting. Things that the eye naturally recognizes in a photo, an artist must superimpose on her painting. For this commissioned piece, I decided I would do something I haven’t done before. I took a good quality photo of my painting and had it printed. Then, I superimposed changes that I thought I needed to make to the painting over top of the print of it.

God, as our Father deigns to visit us lovingly and charitably. I saw myself as a little girl and we were just enjoying one another’s presence and company.
