The Lion and the Girl

The Lion and The Girl

How do you paint a dream? Or, how do you summarize a story into one painting and make it succinct to mean just what you think it is should mean? Often I don’t paint my dreams as I still lack some skill. Hopefully I will be able to do that someday soon.

Here is a day dream that I had during a sermon last year. The sermon was so moving that I thought I could put my thoughts into a painting just so. God, as our Father deigns to visit us lovingly and charitably. I saw myself as a little girl and we were just enjoying one another’s presence and company. The result was “The Lion and the Girl.”
