“March through May of 2019, I was selected to be a featured artist representing the city of Spokane. My work was exhibited at Liberty Ciderworks; “Non-representational and abstract is what I am looking for,” said the owner. How does one portray “non-representational” art? I felt a bit stifled by the tedium of abstraction and non-linear subjects. I wanted to show that I could do more than throw paint on a canvas and call it art. I thought of my brilliant son who was looking into Einstein’s theory of relativity and quantum mechanics, and voila! Einstein’s field equation appeared with mesmerizing constellations decking the background as a watercolored decoupage.”
